What is a Mould board Plough?


Mould board plough is a specially designed plow used in canal irrigated or heavy rain areas where too many weeds grow.

It completely inverts and pulverizes the soil up-root all weeds, trash, and crop residues and bury them under the soil.


It is tractor-mounted tillage implement it consist share point, share, mouldboard, landside, and frog, shank, frame, and hitch system. The share point of bar type and is made from high carbon steel or low alloy steel. 




What is the use of Mould board Plough?


It is a primary tillage implement. It cuts trash and buries it completely. it's also used for turning manure crop for turning under the soil, which adds humus to the soil. it's also used for turning and mixing compost, farmyard manure or lime into the soil.


How does moldboard Plough increase the fertility of soil?


The moldboard plow performs below agricultural operations and soil-conditioning functions:

It uses to cuts, lifts, breaks & loosens the soil that has been compacted through farm machinery traffic or natural causes to a depth of usually 100–200 mm below the soil surface.




Why is it called a moldboard plow?


A Plough is a farm tool with one or more heavy blades that breaks the soil and cuts a furrow for sowing seeds. An important piece of the plough is called a moldboard, which is a spearhead formed by the curved part of a steel blade that turns the furrow.
